Somewhere Down The Road

This the groups 4th album and the 2nd one recorded at Sun Studios in Memphis, Tennessee.

Excerpt from Liner Notes...

"The album was recorded in October of 2006 over four evenings. Walking into Sun Studio is not unlike walking into church. We all approached this project with the proper mix of humility, respect,  and determination.  A full moon was shining as we worked into the night to create the sounds you will hear on this album. The songs reflect our take on the kind of music that was recorded here in Memphis in the late 50’s and 60’s. Country, Blues, Gospel, with a little Rock and Roll mixed in. When the sessions were over, we felt that we had accomplished what we had set out to do."

Track Listing, notes, and Lyrics

Every Little Thing
A gospel flavored number featuring Nora and Jerry on vocals. A little touch of Hammond B3 for flavor. Lookout Booker T...
Running
As the story goes, Jerry bought a pedal steel guitar on ebay, had it shipped to his house, precticed for a month, and came up with one lick. Nora put some lyrics to it, the band added the groove and you have the $700 song.......
Gone Gone Gone
An nice, easy going, Country number about having someone to lean on. Great vocal treatment by Nora.
Restless Soul
A rocking tune with a Bo Diddley meets the Doors feel. For those of you who just can't sit still.
Too Late Love
A soulful duet of love maybe lost, but maybe not.... Sometimes you've just got to stop what you were doing and try a little harder.
Road Less Traveled
An nice Country road song, inspired by the trip down IL57 to Memphis. Where are the folks that ran those oil rigs now?
So Sad
Very cool Country meets The Caribbean number. Nora does a great job with the lyrics and vocals. Groovy beat supplied by Tom.
Left A Piece Of My Heart
A country Rock flavored tune. Sometimes we leave a part of ourselves with places or people we have spent some of our time with. Nice backing vocals by Nora. Kevin hits all the right notes on Bass.
Fading Fast
A nice Rockabilly number with lyrics by Nora. Face it. We are all getting a little slower every damn day!
Too Soon Gone
A slow ballad about people who have moved through our lives and maybe left just a little too soon.
Like I Do
A wonderful Bakersfield flavored song. This one is all Nora. Check out our "Pictures/Video" page for a video we produced of this song.
The Difference
A rocking Country number about a couple of people with a license to fight. Spouses...Can't live with them, Can't kill them.
Somewhere Down The Road
A bluesy number with a taste of Memphis throughout. Great Bass work by Kevin. Tom really makes this song drive with the drums. Tom and Kevin also contributed lyrics on this one.
BONUS TRACKS.....
One More Dance
An Elvis influenced Rockabilly number with vocals by our friend, Michael Lee.
Stop
Another Elvis influenced song. Michael again does a great job on the vocals. He calls it the "What If" song as he thinks the King would have covered this one if he had heard it.
